Capacitive Touchscreen:

This is the same technology found on most touchscreen consumer devices such as cellphones and tablets. The screens perform perfectly in all lighting conditions, even intense infrared light such as direct sunlight. Response time is fast and fluid. There is no other touch technology currently available better than a capacitive screen.

Infrared Touch Frame Touchscreens:

These screens have an Infrared Touch Frame embedded inside its case. The touch surface is scratch resistant and the casing around the television is either made of metal or plastic. Since the object tracking utilizes changes in infrared light intensity to detect an interaction with the screen, these cannot be used in intense infrared lighting environments,such as direct sunlight. They also cannot not be used for object/fiducial pattern tracking like the camera setups or Microsoft Surface 2 can. For more versatile options, please look at the above capacitive screens.
